The bodies of two National League for Democracy (NLD) members, Pan Myint and Ko Ko Maung, were found near Dani Chaw Village in Mon State’s Bilin Township on July 2. They were previously detained by the regime alongside lawmaker Kyaw Myo Min, who is also the chairman of the Bilin Township NLD. They were captured on June 22, near the village of Lel Ka Te, after running into 100 junta troops who were advancing from Mae Pali strategic hill in Bilin. Their hands were tied behind their backs and they were taken to Dawkangyi Village monastery, where they were beaten during interrogation. On June 30, Pan Myint and Ko Ko Maung were killed.
